About the Target Solver Component

The Target Solver modifies the value of the variables within a specified range until the target values are reached (within a specified tolerance) or until it exceeds the specified number of evaluations. The Target Solver is especially useful for solving a system of equations made up of parameters from the subflow.

You use the Target Solver component to do the following:

  • Specify the target values of a set of output parameters.

  • Select the variables that will be modified to reach these values.

The following figure shows the Target Solver Component Editor:

To start the Target Solver Component Editor, double-click the Target Solver component icon . When you have finished configuring the Target Solver Component Editor, click OK to close the editor.
