This section
describes how to configure the Abaqus component to analyze your models
with Abaqus. The component determines which input and output parameters
will be used by the model and sets options that control the execution
of an Abaqus analysis. You must have access to an Abaqus installation
to configure the Abaqus component.
Important:
Before you configure the Abaqus component, you must
create the input (.inp) file or model database (.cae)
file from which the component will extract the input parameters. If you
are reading from a model database file, it must define a job that can
be analyzed. In addition, you must analyze your model with Abaqus and
generate a reference version of the output database (.odb)
file or data (.dat) file if you want to extract output
parameters.
To configure the Abaqus component, you do the following:
Read a model database file and specify the parameters that will be used
as input to the Abaqus component.
Configure the options that control how the Abaqus component executes.
Set the options that allow the Abaqus component to execute on an LSF
cluster or another distribution mechanism.
Read an output database (or a set of output databases) and specify the
parameters that will be extracted by the Abaqus component.
