Selecting the Output File and Parameters

You can select the ANSYS output file and the parameters that you want to use in your Isight model. The output file path is automatically configured based on the input deck used.

  1. Double-click the Ansys component icon .

    The Ansys Component Editor appears.

  2. From the Ansys Component Editor, click the Output tab.

  3. Click Browse.

  4. Navigate to the ANSYS output file that you want to use, and click Open.

    The Ansys component supports the .out file format.

  5. Click Remove File if you want to remove the existing output file.

  6. Click Read File.

    The Status bar shows the file loading process.

    Note: If the Ansys configuration file is not present at the specified location, the Ansys Config Warning dialog box appears. Click OK if you want the component to use the default settings.

    The Output tab is populated with the output parameters.



  7. Select the parameters you want to use in your Isight model by doing any of the following:

    Option Description
    Click the check box Select an individual parameter.
    Select All Select all the parameters.
    Unselect All Clear all the selected parameters.
    Select Highlighted Select the highlighted parameters.

    The selected parameters are added to Isight. The parameters are mapped to the Ansys component and will be used with the corresponding Isight model.

    Note: You cannot edit the parameter name and value from the component editor.

  8. Click OK to close the editor and to return to the Design Gateway.
