Sorting and Filtering Parameters

You can sort and filter the list of parameters displayed on both the Input and Output subtabs of the Dymola Component Editor’s Parameter tab. For each subtab, both the list of available Dymola parameters and selected Isight parameters can be sorted or filtered. These options are available at the top of each parameter list.

  1. From the Dymola Component Editor, click either the Input or Output subtab.

  2. Sort the parameters by clicking the corresponding column header.

The first click sorts the column data in ascending order. The second click sorts the column data in descending order. A third click returns the data to its original unsorted state. The small arrow icons to the right of the column heading indicate the current sorting option.

Note: Click at any time to return the list to its original unsorted state.

  3. If you are working with a large number of parameters and only want to view certain subsets of the parameters, filter the displayed parameters using the following options:

    • In the Name text box, type a parameter name (or a portion of a parameter name). The parameter list is filtered automatically based on your entry.

    • From the Mode list, select a specific parameter mode (input, output, etc.) to use as a filter.

    • Click to apply filters to the table. You can filter the parameters based on name, value, and mode. For more information about filtering, see the Isight User’s Guide.

    • Click to clear the filters on the table. For more information about filtering, see Filtering Parameters in the Isight User’s Guide.

  4. Update how the nodes are displayed in the parameter lists using the following options:

    • Click to expand all the nodes in the table.

    • Click to collapse all the nodes in the table.
