Selecting the Material Property Parameters

You can select the Material Property parameters to use with your Isight model.


Before you begin: You must first select the input file and prepare the component (see Selecting an Input File and Preparing the Component).
  1. Double-click the LS-DYNA component icon .

    The LS-DYNA Component Editor appears.

  2. In the LS-DYNA Component Editor, click the Input tab.

  3. Click the Material Property subtab.

  4. The Basic subtab appears displaying the Material IDs selected while configuring the Prepare tab.

    You can select the following parameters for each Mat_ID:

    • Mass density
    • Young's modulus
    • Poisson's ratio

  5. Select the parameters by doing any of the following:

    Option Description
    Click the check box Select an individual parameter.
    All Check Select all the parameters.
    All Uncheck Clear all the selected parameters.

  6. Add the selected parameters to the Parameter area.

    Click to add the selected parameters to the Parameter area.

    Click to remove the selected parameters from the Parameter area.

    The parameters added to the Parameter area can be used with your Isight model.

  7. If desired, edit the parameter value.

  8. Click the Advance tab.

    You can select the following parameters for each Mat_ID:

    • C
    • P
    • LCSS
    • LCSR
    • LCID
    • SIGY
    • ETAN
    • FAIL
    • EPS
    • EPSScale
    • ES
    • ESScale

  9. Select the parameters by doing any of the following:

    Option Description
    Click the check box Select an individual parameter.
    All Check Select all the parameters.
    All Uncheck Clear all the selected parameters.

  10. If desired, edit the parameter value.

  11. Add the selected parameters to the Parameter area.

    Click to add the selected parameters to the Parameter area.

    Click to remove the selected parameters from the Parameter area.

    The parameters added to the Parameter area can be used with your Isight model.

  12. If desired, edit the parameter value.

  13. Click to move the selected parameter up in the table, or click to move the selected parameter down in the table.
