Selecting the Velocity Parameters

You can select the Initial Velocity and the Initial Velocity Generation parameters.

Before you begin: You must first select the input file and prepare the component (see Selecting an Input File and Preparing the Component).

  1. Double-click the LS-DYNA component icon .

    The LS-DYNA Component Editor appears.

  2. In the LS-DYNA Component Editor, click the Input tab.

  3. Click the Velocity subtab.

    The Initial Velocity and the Initial Velocity Generation parameters appear in separate tables.

    In the Initial Velocity parameters table, the Name, NSID, NSIDEX, BOXID, and Value of each parameter are displayed.

    In the Initial Velocity Generation parameters table, the Name, SID, STYP, and Value of each parameter are displayed.

  4. Select the Initial Velocity and Initial Velocity Generation parameters by doing any of the following:

    Option Description
    Click the check box Select an individual parameter.
    All Check Select all the parameters.
    All Uncheck Clear all the selected parameters.

  5. Add the selected parameters to the Parameter area.

    Click to add the selected parameters to the Isight Parameter area.

    Click to remove the selected parameters from the Isight Parameter area.

    The parameters added to the Parameter area can be used with your Isight model.

  6. If desired, edit the parameter value.

  7. Click to move the selected parameter up in the table, or click to move the selected parameter down in the table.
