Setting the Execution Options

You can use the Advanced tab to set the execution options.

  1. Double-click the SolidWorks component icon .

    The SolidWorks Component Editor appears.

  2. From the SolidWorks Component Editor, click the Advanced tab.

  3. Click Show SolidWorks during execution if you want the component to launch SolidWorks as a foreground process.

    You can view the changes taking place in the SolidWorks model during execution.

  4. Click Save after execution if you want to save the output file after execution.

    In addition to the standard format, the output file can be saved in .igs, .prt, .jpg, .sat, .wrl, .x_t, .3dxml, and .step formats.

    The check boxes in the Format area are enabled only when Save after execution is selected.

  5. If desired, save the output file in the desired format by clicking the corresponding check box.

  6. Click OK to save your changes and to return to the Design Gateway.
