Selecting the Output File and Parameters

You can select the GT-POWER output file and parameters.

  1. Double-click the GT-POWER component icon .

    The GT-POWER Component Editor appears.

  2. From the GT-POWER Component Editor, click the Output tab.

  3. Click Browse to specify the output file containing the output parameters.

  4. Navigate to the GT-POWER output (.rlt) file that you want to use, and click Open.

  5. In the Template field, enter the template of the output (.rlt) file you want to use. The default template is EngineCrankTrain.

    In the Part field, enter the name of the part that you want to parse from the output (.rlt) file. The default part is engine.

  6. Click Read Result File.

    The Output Variable list is populated with the output parameters, and the Case Option area displays the cases present in the output (.rlt) file.

    The Case Option area is enabled only if you select Original as the Run Way option.

  7. Select the output parameters you want to use by doing any of the following:

    Option Description
    Click the parameter Select an individual parameter.
    Select All Select all the parameters.
    Unselect All Clear all the selected parameters.

  8. Select the case or cases for which you want to add the selected parameter to Isight by clicking the corresponding check boxes.

  9. Add the selected parameters to the Isight Parameter area.

    Click to add the selected parameters to the Isight Parameter area.

    Click to remove the selected parameters from the Isight Parameter area.

    In the Isight Parameter area, the name of the parameter in GT-POWER is displayed in the Output Parameter column and the name of the parameter in Isight is displayed in the Isight Parameter column. Additional parameter details such as the Template, Part, Case id, and Value are displayed.

    The variables added to the Isight Parameter area can be used in your Isight model.

  10. If desired, edit the Isight Parameter Name and Value.

  11. Click to move the selected parameter up in the table, or click to move the selected parameter down in the table.

  12. Click OK to save your changes and to return to the Design Gateway.
