Executing an External Executable Approximation Plug-in

The execution of external executable approximation plug-ins requires creating local files on the file system.

Because executable approximation plug-ins create local files on the file system, you must not execute a model with external executable approximations created for application components on a SIMULIA Execution Engine. If you do, you will receive a runtime error because application component approximations are executed directly on the server. However, approximations for the subflows of process components are executed on the station where the process component is being executed, not on the server. Therefore, you can execute external executable approximations for the subflows of process components on the SIMULIA Execution Engine.
