Creating a SIMULIA Execution Engine Connection Profile

The following connection profiles are available:

Standalone
This connection profile, available whether you have access to a SIMULIA Execution Engine environment or not, connects you to the local library on your current computer and does not establish a connection with a SIMULIA Execution Engine. When installed in standalone mode, Isight is run with the standalone connection profile. This connection profile is provided with standalone Isight and does not need to be created. It is selected automatically if no other SIMULIA Execution Engine connection profiles have been created.
SIMULIA Execution Engine Connection
This connection profile connects you to a SIMULIA Execution Engine environment and provides access to a remote library. If security is enabled on the SIMULIA Execution Engine, it requires you to enter your user name (user ID) and password. You can have numerous SIMULIA Execution Engines, but you can connect to only one SIMULIA Execution Engine at a time.

When you start Isight and you have defined more than one connection profile, the Logon dialog box appears. This dialog box lets you select the desired session environment. If you do not see a connection profile that corresponds to the correct environment (standalone or SIMULIA Execution Engine), you can create a new one using the Edit Logon Profile tool.

For more information on configuring the SIMULIA Execution Engine, refer to the SIMULIA Execution Engine Installation and Configuration Guide.
