Saving a Component

You can save a configured instance of a component to the local disk as its own model. You can also publish a component to the library. Publishing a component makes it available in the library for later use.

For information on publishing, see Saving Objects to a Local File.

Note: Configured instances of components are saved as model files (*.zmf). If you open the component, the component is displayed by itself in the Design Gateway. For information on using a saved component to create a model, see Encapsulating Components.

  1. From the Design Gateway or the Runtime Gateway, right-click the component that you want to save.

  2. Select Save As, and enter the name and location to save the component.

Isight saves the component as a new model. If the component is a process component, Isight also saves its child components (components in its subflow).
