Viewing the Benefits of the Approximation

You can use the history table and history graph to view the benefits that the approximation had on the model.

  1. With the example model open in the Design Gateway, double-click the ApproxLoop icon.

  2. Click Advanced Options.

  3. Clear the Do not store approximate subflow runs in database option.

    This option is selected by default. This options allows Isight to skip all the approximation executions and to not store them in the database. The skipped approximations do not appear on the Runtime Gateway History tab. Only exact simulation process flow executions are visible.

  4. Click OK to close the Advanced Options dialog box.

  5. Click OK to close the ApproxLoop Exploration Component Editor.

  6. Execute the model again.

    Now when you view the History tab, you will notice that more runs appear. You can use the scroll bar on the right to view all the runs.

    Note: You can view the history graph in the Graphs Overview area on the History tab and the Parameters tab. The history graph appears for the selected run.
