From the Design Gateway,
select a model.
Select the component from the model explorer that contains the parameter
or file parameter that you want to map.
Click the Dataflow tab, and click the Mappings
subtab.
The corresponding parameters and file parameters are displayed on the
left side of the Mappings subtab.
If the other parameter or file parameter for the mapping is not visible,
you can expand the component’s parameter list on the right side of
the subtab. If necessary, you can view only a certain component’s parameters
by selecting the desired component from the list above the parameter
list. You can also filter the parameters on either side of the subtab
to help locate the desired parameters. For more information about filtering,
see Organizing Parameter and File Parameter Mappings.
Note:
You can use the and buttons to expand or collapse all of the
items in both parameter lists so that you can view all the parameters
and file parameters of each component. You can also access these options
by right-clicking an element in either parameter list.
Click a parameter or file parameter, and drag the mouse pointer to the
parameter or file parameter to which you want to map.
When you select a parameter, a line appears from the parameter or file
parameter that you selected. If the mouse pointer changes to an arrow
when you select the other parameter or
file parameter, you can create a legal mapping. If the mouse pointer
changes to a , you cannot create a legal mapping.
You can have one or more members of an aggregate in one component
that match members of an aggregate in another component, while the two
aggregates themselves do not match. You can select any of the members
(one at a time) and drag them to create mappings to their matching members,
even though no mapping can be created between the aggregates.
Release the mouse button.
