Performing a Basic Search

You can use the basic Find search to locate a specific component, parameter, or file in a model.

  1. Open a model in the gateway.

  2. From the Design Gateway or the Runtime Gateway Edit menu, select Find.

A Find text box and search icons appear on the right side of the Design Gateway toolbar as shown below.

  3. In the Find text box, enter the text for which you want to search.

You can use “*” as a wildcard. For example, if you enter “param*5”, param65 and “parameter55” will appear as matches.

  4. If desired, click the button to refine the search as follows:

    1. Select Match Case to match the capitalization of the search text.
    2. Select Match Whole Word to ensure that the search returns items have the entire search text included in their name.
    3. Select whether you want to search only for Components, Parameters, or Files. By default, all the choices are selected.

  5. Click the button.

Isight highlights the first occurrence of the search item in the model explorer. In addition, the appropriate tab becomes available in the Design Gateway with the item selected. You can use the or button to move to the next occurrence of the item.

  6. Click the button to close the Find option.
