Making Minor Adjustments to the Simulation Process Flow Layout

You can make slight manual adjustments to the position of one or more components in the simulation process flow. In addition, you can fix minor layout issues that can occur, such as when component names overlap in the simulation process flow.

Consider the following when making manual adjustments to the simulation process flow:

  • The root (top-level) component cannot be repositioned. In addition, only components that are part of the simulation process flow can be repositioned.

  • Repositioning a component has no effect on the position of other components, except those in the component’s subflow.

  • A manually adjusted component maintains its position relative to its parent component, even as other components are added, removed, or repositioned.

  • Any component that has not been laid out manually is free to be repositioned by the automatic layout when other components are added or removed.

  1. From the Design Gateway, verify that you are viewing the correct model on the Sim-flow tab.

  2. Right-click any section of the canvas that does not contain a component or simulation process flow arrow.

  3. Select the Unlock Layout option to manually manipulate the layout.

  4. Adjust the simulation process flow layout by clicking and dragging the desired components.

Note: You can return the entire layout to its original configuration by right-clicking the canvas and selecting Reset Layout. You can also reset an individual component by right-clicking it and selecting Reset Layout.

  5. If desired, once you have completed your changes, right-click the canvas and select the Lock Layout option to prevent any further changes.

  6. Save the model.
