Importing and Exporting Problem Formulations

You can import a problem formulation file created outside of Isight to use in your model. Similarly, you can export a problem formulation file. It is often helpful to export a problem formulation file and use that file to ensure that the file you want to import has the correct format.

About Problem Formulation Files

  1. From the Design Gateway, select the model with which you want to work.

  2. Click the Formulation tab.

  3. To import a problem formulation from a file, click .

    1. Navigate to the directory where the file is located.
    2. Select the file, and click Open.

      For information about the file format, see About Problem Formulation Files.

      Isight displays the problem formulation on the Formulation tab. Any existing data that match data in the file are replaced.

  4. If desired, click to export a problem formulation to a file.

    1. Navigate to the location where you want to save the file.
    2. Enter a name for the file in the File name text box, and click Save.
