Changing the Factors Used in the Taguchi Main Effects Viewer Graphs and Tables

You can determine the factors that are shown in the Taguchi Main Effects Viewer graphs and tables to focus on specific factor effects.

  1. From the Runtime Gateway, click a Taguchi Robust Design component that has completed execution from the Sim-flow tab or from the model explorer.

  2. Click the Graphs tab, and click the button.

Isight loads the results from the Taguchi Robust Design component into the Main Effects Viewer.

  3. Click the Graphs or Tables subtab.

  4. In the Factors area, you can individually select factors by clicking in the Show column. You can also click Select All or Deselect All to select or deselect all the factors.

Note: If you used Orthogonal Arrays as the Taguchi Robust Design component control technique, additional items named Column <N> may be displayed with the list of factors. These items represent columns in the orthogonal array that did not have factors assigned to them, representing effects due to other sources such as factor interactions. You can filter these items the same way you filter other factors.

If you are working with tables, Isight updates the table to reflect the selections when the selected set of levels changes. When the Selected Point is set to Best Level or Worst Level, Isight removes the User Levels column from the table. When you select individual factor levels in the graphs, Isight adds the User Levels column to the tables (if not already shown) and updates the values in this column to reflect the new set of user-specified factor levels.

Isight updates the graphs and tables based on the selection.

  5. If desired, click in the Factor column header to sort the factors alphabetically. You can click the header a second time to sort the column in reverse. A third click returns the factors to their original order.

Isight updates the graphs and tables based on the selection.

  6. Click Close to exit the Main Effects Viewer and to return to the Graphs tab.

Isight does not save any selections or settings when you close the Main Effects Viewer.
