Adding Dymola Parameters to Isight

Once your Dymola input file and output file have been selected and scanned by the Dymola component, you need to specify the individual parameters that will be used in your Isight model. You must perform the procedure below two times: once to specify the input parameters and once to specify the output parameters.

  1. From the Dymola Component Editor, select either the Input or Output subtab.

  2. From the Variable Browser list, select the node in the input file or the output file that contains the parameter you want to use in Isight using either of the following methods:

    • Use the Variable Browser list to manually locate the node that contains the parameter.

    • In the Search text box below the Variable Browser list, type a node or parameter name, click Search, and select the node that contains the parameter from the filtered information in the Variable Browser.

The parameters for the selected node are displayed in the Available Parameters area on the right side of the tab. Additional parameter details, including the value of the parameter, the parameter’s description, and the parameter’s mode, are also displayed. You cannot edit this information.

  3. In the Available Parameters area, select the Dymola parameters that you want to add to the component using one of the following methods:

    • Click the check box in the Select column to select individual parameters.

    • Click Select All to select all listed parameters.

Note: If there are a large number of parameters listed in the Available Parameters area, you can filter the results to help you locate the parameters you want to select. For more information, see Sorting and Filtering Parameters.

  4. Click .

The selected parameters are added to the Isight Parameters area. These parameters are now mapped to the component and will be used with the corresponding Isight model.

  5. If desired, change the value for the selected parameter in the Isight Parameters area.

Only the value for a parameter can be altered. All other parameter information is determined automatically.

Note: If there are a large number of parameters listed in the Isight Parameters area, you can filter the information to help you locate the parameters you want to edit (see Sorting and Filtering Parameters).

  6. If desired, click OK to save your changes and to return to the Design Gateway.
