Setting Report Generation Preferences

You can generate a report that contains information about the currently loaded model. The type of data presented in the report depends on how the model was constructed. You can create a report in Microsoft Word, text, or HTML from any model that has been loaded.

  1. From the Design Gateway or Runtime Gateway Edit menu, click Preferences.

  2. Click Report Generation, and set the following options, as desired.

    Option Description
    Default Report Format Determine if you want the report created as a MS Word (Windows Only) file, a Text – markdown file, or an HTML file. By default, MS Word is selected.
    Allow automatic generation of report after model execution Allow a report to be generated after model execution. Selecting this option does not automatically generate a report. For more information, see Automatically Generating a Report after Model Execution.
    Default Location Enter the path, or click Browse to search for the location, where you want the report to be saved.
    After manually generating the report Determine the action taken after a report is generated manually (using the toolbar button). This setting does not affect automatically generated reports.
    • Prompt to display the report. Select this option to display a message asking whether or not you want to display the report once it is generated. You can save the preference (Yes or No).

    • Always display the report. Select this option to display the report after the run is generated.

    • Never display the report. Select this option to never display the report after the run is generated.

  3. Click OK to save your changes and to close the Preferences dialog box.
