Using Submodels and Referenced Models

You can reference portions of the current model for use elsewhere within that model. The portion that you reference is inserted into the simulation process flow as an internal referenced model. You define an internal referenced model by creating a submodel that you want to use elsewhere. Alternatively, you can add previously created, published models to the simulation process flow to create a new model or to update an existing model. The previously, created published model is inserted into the simulation process flow as an external referenced model. In both cases, Isight inserts a Reference component to control the referenced model, and it is important that you understand how this can impact the model.
