Viewing Job Execution Information

You can view execution information about a job (such as warning messages and error messages) using the Logs tab in the Runtime Gateway.

  1. After executing a job, select the Logs tab in the Runtime Gateway.

Detailed information about the job is displayed.

Note: If the log information indicates that model execution failed, click Rerun Job in the lower right corner of the tab (see Re-Running Failed Jobs).

  2. If desired, change the following settings:

    Option Description
Show log for selected component only Displays information for a single component. Only information for the component selected in the model explorer is displayed.
Log Level Allows you to specify the information displayed in the messages area. The available options are: Debug, Info, Warning, Error, and SysError. The default setting is Warning. This filters the messages that were actually logged during the job. If the job specified that it would only log messages of a certain level, changing the filtering here does not allow you to view messages below that level because, in fact, the messages were never logged. You can change the default by setting a preference option. For information about changing the default and the type of messages shown for each option, see Setting Execution Preferences.

  3. Select a message from the list to view the entire message in the message area (below the list).

  4. If desired, click the Job Overview, Job Sizing, and Run Summary subtabs at the bottom of the tab to view information about the job such as the model name, job identification, status, and the model hierarchy. For more information, see Viewing Job Information, View Job Size Information, or View the Run Summary.
