View and Configure Implicit Mappings

You can control whether or not implicit mappings are displayed, and you can select which implicit mappings should be ignored by Isight. Implicit mappings are mappings that occur automatically between the members of aggregate parameters when the name of the parameters within the aggregates are similar. For example, the input parameter Six Sigma Results would automatically map to the output parameter Six Sigma1 Results. Implicit mappings appear as dotted lines on the Mappings subtab.

  1. From the Design Gateway, select a model.

  2. Select the component from the model explorer that contains the parameter or file parameter that you want to map.

  3. Click the Dataflow tab, and click the Mappings subtab.

  4. Perform any of the following actions, as desired:

    • To leave the implicit mappings intact but not view them on the Mappings subtab, right-click any aggregate member in either of the parameter lists and clear the Show Implicit Mappings option.

Isight removes the mappings from the list, but they remain part of the model.

    • To eliminate a specific implicit mapping, right-click the mapping and select Suppress Implicit Mapping.

Isight removes the mapping from the list, and the icon appears on the corresponding explicit mapping, informing you of the suppressed mapping.

    • To view all suppressed implicit mappings, right-click the icon and select View Suppressions.

The Currently Suppressed Implicit Mappings dialog box appears, providing details about the mapping, including the parameters that are affected.

    • To reinstate a particular suppressed implicit mapping, click one of the parameters and drag the mouse pointer to the parameter to which you want to map, as if you were creating a new mapping (as described in Creating Mappings for Parameters and File Parameters).

Isight removes the implicit mapping from the suppression list. If this suppressed mapping was the only suppressed mapping remaining, the icon disappears.

    • To reinstate all of the suppressed implicit mappings, right-click the icon and select Clear All Suppressions.

Isight reinstates all suppressed mappings, and they appear on the Mappings subtab.
