Creating a Report Prior to Model Execution

From the Design Gateway you can create a report for the model without executing the model. However, these reports will not include any results or graphs because execution is required to produce these details. Alternatively, you can create a report from the Runtime Gateway after execution that shows results and graphs.

About Reports
  1. Verify that the correct model is loaded into the gateway.

  2. Click the button on the toolbar.

The Generate Report dialog box appears.

  3. Navigate to the location where you want to save the report.

  4. In the Files of type list, specify the report format.

You can create a text file, an HTML file, or a Microsoft Word file (if Word is installed on the system that is running Isight).

Note: You can also define default settings for the location and file type using the Isight preferences. For more information, see Setting Report Generation Preferences.

  5. In the File name text box, enter a name for the report.

For text and HTML files, the name represents the directory that will contain the report and image files. For Word files, the name represents the name of the Word file.

  6. Click Save.

Depending on the report preference settings, the Display Report dialog box may appear, prompting you to verify if you want to automatically open the report after saving it. You can bypass this dialog box using the After manually generating the report option in the Isight preferences. For more information, see Setting Report Generation Preferences.

    1. Click Yes to display the report or No to save the report for later viewing.
    2. Click Save preference, and do not prompt again if you want to save the option as a preference. Therefore, the Display Report dialog box will not appear again.

Note: For Linux users, if you have not previously defined an external viewer to view the type of file you created, you will be prompted to enter a command identifying the viewer. For more information about setting the viewer, see Setting Report Generation Preferences.

      Isight creates the report.
