Controlling animations in multiple viewports

By default, Abaqus/CAE animates data in every animation-eligible viewport in your session. All animations are synchronized, so the viewports play, stop, and increment together when you examine data frame by frame, animate a model plot, or animate a time-dependent X–Y plot.

Context:

You can activate and deactivate the animation of individual viewports, which enables you to display animations only for a subset of the animation-eligible viewports in your session. The Viewports page of the Animation Options dialog box, shown in Figure 1, displays a listing of all animation-eligible viewports in your session. Toggling a viewport's checkbox on this page includes or excludes that viewport from the animation.

  1. Find the Viewports options.

    In the prompt area, click Animation Options; and click the Viewports tab in the dialog box that appears. The Viewports page appears.

  2. Toggle on check boxes for the viewports that you want to animate.

  3. If desired, switch the type of animation by selecting an Animation type from the field at the bottom of the Animation Options dialog box.

  4. Click Apply.
